What we do

Growing produce sustainably is about challenging the norms. We utilise the sun, wind and recycled water to maintain just the right temperature and humidty levels within our greenhouses. We use recycled water, to hydroponically grow high quality, nutritious produce that taste as good as they look. Our plants receive fertilisers direct to the roots to encourage maximum uptake and ensure that every product is consistently of the highest quality.

Our Story

Agrisano Fresh, Greenhouse

2016 — 2017

A consortium that included local engineering firm, Tonkin, undertook a feasibility study to demonstrate the viability of a large horticultural development, using high technology greenhouses with an innovative growing system developed by NGS in Spain. As a result of that early feasibility study, Agrisano Fresh was created to pursue the development of a new horticultural precinct located in the Northern Adelaide Plains.

Agrisano Fresh, Mallala development

2019 — 2020

The projects sparks investor interest and land is secured 60 km out of Adelaide in Mallala and development approval to build a 20 hectare project was granted by the council.

Agrisano Fresh, Construction

2021 — 2022

Agrisano was established with the aim of making the feasibility study a reality, growing food using recycled water.

Agrisano Fresh, new growth

2023

The Product Development Centre was built in Mallala. The PDC was successfully  run by agronomists who conduct product trials and seed selections to ensure that all produce grown in the greenhouses are of the highest quality and exceptional taste.

Sean Mason
Senior Consulting Agronomist

  • Graduating with a Bachelor of Science at the University of Adelaide majoring in Geology and Chemistry Sean pursued further study as a Honors degree in the area of Geochemistry. Sean then completed a Post-Graduate degree which involved a preliminary assessment of a new soil test for Phosphorus (DGT) and 6 months study in the UK at Lancaster University. After graduating I had a short term position at APAL laboratories which involved setting up their first ICP-OES for plant tissue analysis and obtaining ASPAC accreditation. A post doctoral position at the University of Adelaide followed working on a further GRDC funded project which was validating the performance of the DGT soil test in the field. From there I've grown into a Research Fellow delivering on numerous different projects involved with soil and plant nutrition as the role of project leader and also in a collaborative role on both national and international projects.
